Piddlehinton Range Directions

These directions are for anyone without a SatNav

Assuming you will be heading to Dorchester there are two ways of getting to the ranges from there.

If coming via Yeovil as you approach Dorchester on the A37 take the road to the town centre, pass a BP garage on your left, up to the Junction (Small Roundabout) turn left then down the High Street after passing Loders Peugeot Car showrooms and a set of traffic lights go over a small bridge. Take the first turning left B3143, signed Piddlehinton 4 Miles. Stay on this road until, after a sharp bend to the left, you see a sign ENTERPRISE PARK on the right. Turn into the park, go up the hill to the end of the fenced trees which are on your right, turn right immediately.  Do not go straight on into the industrial site. Travel up the hill through the gate and along side the high fence of the army camp. At the top of the hill branch left to the Ranges.

Alternative longer but may be quicker (sometimes). Stay on the A37 until you reach the A35 at Monkey Jump roundabout then turn left signed Poole-Weymouth etc. This is the Dorchester Bypass at the second roundabout, turn left back towards Dorchester. The B3143 will be on the right, from there follow the above instructions.

From the east

Travel towards Dorchester along the Puddletown bypass. Take second exit, approx 5 miles, signposted A354 Blandford, at top of slip road turn right, towards Blandford, at the second roundabout take the first exit, to Piddlehinton (B3142). Follow the road round many bends until reaching a T-junction. (Ignore first turning right just before the little bridge.) At the T junction turn right and follow the road round to the left and up the slope to the entrance of ENTERPRISE PARK, turn right into the park and up the hill to the end of the fenced trees which are on your right, turn right immediately.  Do not go straight on into the industrial site. Travel up the hill through the gate and along side the high fence of the army camp. At the top of the hill branch left to the Ranges.
